'The Edith'

The Edith is a side-by-side dual occupancy project located in the bayside suburb of Mordialloc.

The site presented a unique challenge with its square shape and angled front boundary, requiring a considered design response to maximise its potential.

The client brief called for two double-storey, classic weatherboard-style dwellings. Each home comprises four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a two-car garage, with an approximate floor area of 30 squares across two levels. One dwelling was sold off the plan and later enhanced with the addition of a lift and pool. Both homes include master suites on the ground and first floors, as well as dual-level living spaces designed to provide flexibility for future occupants.

The material palette celebrates a timeless aesthetic, combining white weatherboards with recycled red brick and dark exposed aggregate adding depth and character to the design. We look forward to seeing the landscaping mature and further enhance this project.
