The Mount

The Mount is a new dwelling in the bayside suburb of Parkdale, designed as a spacious oasis with a seamless connection to the external entertaining area and pool.

The brief called for a Palm Springs-inspired family home, realised to fully reflect the client’s vision.

The external material palette was deliberately pared back, featuring white vertical cladding and render across the majority of the dwelling, punctuated by a striking timber entry door. Landscaping has been thoughtfully designed to complement the home as it matures.

Sustainability was central to the design, with solar panels, high-performance double-glazed windows, superior insulation, and an underground rainwater tank integrated throughout.

An external operable louvre roof provides year-round protection while framing views to the 9m x 4m pool and roof cabana, creating an entertainer’s paradise that will be enjoyed for years to come.

This home was awarded Master Builders’ ‘Best Custom Home’ in its category at the 2025 awards
